If Spike wants to take pot shots at the majority of their viewers, they have the freedom to do that. Me and all my soldier buddies have the freedom to never watch Spike again if they continue with the liberal propaganda they've been pushing on their shows recently. They probably saw SNL making fun of the Tea Party and thought that because the liberal media was doing it that it must be trending. They should be fired and replaced with people who realize nobody watches SNL or any of that liberal garbage in America. I think MSNBC's main audience is in Puerto Rico or some other socialist Hell hole. All the women in the Tea Party I've met know how to properly handle a weapon. Can't say that about the libs. The libtroll responses here are the same as lefty hypocrites attacking Sarah Palin's family, and then saying Obama's family is off limits. You can spot a lefty by his truisms or abstractions, and projections.

the news ticker was meant to be humorous in a crazy way. they were poking fun at the story itself as well; like 'how crazy can someone be if they try to whip people into frenzies when they themselves barely have a concept of the english language and have to write notes on their hand' (and refer to them when the narrator states 'she barely has any knowledge of american history')...

they are also poking fun at social media - in this case for putting it on the 'news' that anal probes were happening, sasquatch is real, etc... no self-respecting news show would run a ticker so ridiculous.

im not the kind of person that believes in everything they hear. to the people that dont believe this particular event happened, i say, "good for you. you actually understand what the disclaimer means when the show states 'based on actual events, names and locations have been changed'."

the fact that they named a woman in this story, ('musket mary'), and they said 'tea party' - assuming it really happened to a tea party woman they called mary - goes against the disclaimer.

would it be easier to believe if they were talking about a neo-nazi gathering? a kkk rally? im sure they get whipped into frenzies all the time at their meeting places. in this particular scenario i believe it was truly referring to a kkk meeting somewhere in the world at a time in history - recent or otherwise.

Come on guys, it's not about what really happens, it's about what could happen. They portray all kinds of ridiculous stuff on that show, this is just another ridiculous portrayal of someone dying in a ridiculous manner. I found it amusing.

I get it.. it is just a show, but using the Tea Party is a little bit misleading. Why not use the liberal agend and let see what will happen then.

It says at the beginning of each show that these are based on real events, "based" being the operative word, and the base can be very loose sometimes. I read on Yahoo Answers regarding the guy who was killed while robbing a gun shop that the dates and locations are also changed so it's not so easy to find out the real names of the people. I'm guessing this is based on someone who went a little crazy with a bayonet at a party (the OTHER kind) and accidentally killed herself (it could also have been a guy). This embellishment is what I'm guessing is a parody of Satah Palin.

I saw that episode a couple of days ago, and as others did set Google off on a hunt for corroborating information. I found none. The episode claims Musket Mary died in 2006, a full 3 years before the Tea Party was launched in earnest after Rick Santelli's call to action. That fact alone discredits the entire tale.
